The Uhip Nordic Coat is one of Uhip’s warmest winter coats, designed for women who refuse to let freezing temperatures keep them indoors.

Warmth without the heavy winter-coat feel
The Nordic combines two types of high-quality synthetic insulation, including DuPont™ Sorona®, to provide excellent warmth while remaining comfortable and practical to wear.

For cold, dry winter weather, frost and light rain or snow, the Nordic is an excellent choice. However, with a 3,000 mm waterproof rating, this isn't intended to replace a dedicated waterproof raincoat during prolonged heavy rain.
Designed for horse riding and life at the yard
The Nordic may look like a beautifully fitted winter coat, but underneath its clean design are features specifically developed for equestrian use.
A two-way front zip and high rear riding vent allow the lower part of the coat to open comfortably when you're in the saddle. This lets the sides fall naturally around your legs, helping protect your thighs from cold weather without restricting your riding position.
Uhip's elastic leg straps fit around the thighs to help prevent the coat from blowing up in windy conditions — equally useful when riding or standing around a windswept yard.
The result is excellent coverage while still allowing the freedom of movement you need around horses.
Built-in hand warmers for freezing days
One of our favourite Uhip features is the Nordic's clever fold-down hand-warming cuffs.
When your hands start getting cold, simply fold the cuffs over your hands for additional protection. Dedicated thumb and little-finger openings help keep the covering in position while allowing you to continue using your hands.
They're particularly useful when you're holding reins, carrying equipment, walking the dog or standing outside watching sport.
Extra-long coverage
At approximately 120 cm long in size 38, the Nordic provides considerably more coverage than a conventional winter jacket.
That extra length makes a noticeable difference when you're standing outside for long periods because the insulation doesn't stop at your hips — it continues down over much of your legs.
This is exactly what makes the Nordic such a versatile coat beyond the equestrian world.
From the stable yard to the football touchline
You certainly don't need to own a horse to appreciate the Nordic.
It's a fantastic choice for those cold Sunday mornings spent watching children play football or rugby, long winter dog walks, country events, outdoor competitions and anywhere else you may find yourself standing around in freezing weather.

Stylish, feminine fit
Despite its substantial insulation and length, the Nordic maintains a flattering, feminine silhouette.
The coat has a Close Fit, so if you're between sizes or prefer extra room for winter layers, we recommend choosing the larger size.
The length in size 38 is approximately 120 cm, with around 1–2 cm difference between sizes.
Weather protection
The Nordic's polyamide outer uses a TPU film together with Bionic Finish® ECO fluorocarbon-free DWR treatment to provide additional protection against winter weather.
With a 3,000 mm waterproof rating and 3,000 g/m²/24h breathability rating, it offers useful protection against changing winter conditions while remaining comfortable during everyday outdoor activities.
For prolonged or particularly heavy rain, we'd recommend choosing one of Uhip's dedicated waterproof coats instead.

Wash gently at 30°C with similar colours using a mild detergent. Close all zips before washing and do not use fabric softener or bleach.
Do not tumble dry, dry clean or iron. Remove promptly after washing, shake the garment and hang to dry.
