Women’s Waterproof Country & Riding Jacket
The Uhip Field Jacket brings the look of a traditional waxed country jacket to a shorter, lightly insulated design made for active outdoor days.
Its unwaxed technical fabric combines a 10,000 mm water column, taped seams and 8,000 g/m²/24h breathability, helping protect you from wind and rain while allowing moisture to escape when you are on the move.
With light Sorona® insulation, a corduroy collar and a detachable warming panel, it is a versatile choice for horse riding, stable life, dog walking, country walks and everyday outdoor wear. Available at Horse & Sports in Jet Black and Dark Green.
The waxed-jacket look, without the waxing
The Field Jacket takes its styling cues from classic country outerwear, but the fabric is not waxed and never needs re-waxing.
Instead, it uses a cotton and polyamide technical outer with taped seams for practical weather protection. It can be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 30°C, making it easier to care for after regular outdoor use.
Light insulation for active days
Sorona® insulation provides light, comfortable warmth for days when you want protection without the feel of a heavily insulated winter coat.
The fabric’s 8,000 g/m²/24h breathability helps manage moisture during activity. Combined with the shorter cut, this makes the Field Jacket a useful option when your day involves moving between riding, stable jobs and walking outdoors.
Designed around horse riding
The two-way front zip opens from the bottom to give you more room when sitting in the saddle. A storm flap with snap buttons covers the fastening, helping keep the weather out.
At the back, a high riding vent with a gusset concealed behind a buttoned placket adds freedom of movement. The shorter silhouette is an alternative to the longer Uhip Field Coat when you prefer less fabric around your legs.
Fold-down coverage for cold hands
Uhip’s extended fold-down cuffs with thumbholes provide extra coverage over your hands when the weather turns cold or wet.
They are useful for breezy rides and dog walks, giving you additional protection when you need it. Fold them back when you want your hands fully uncovered for other tasks.
A detachable warming panel and corduroy collar
A lightly padded inner front panel with a ribbed collar attaches with a zip. With this panel in place, you can leave the outer jacket open while retaining warmth across the front.
The inner corduroy collar adds a traditional country detail, complementing the jacket’s practical technical construction.
Pockets for life outdoors
Large bellows hand pockets with top flaps provide room for everyday essentials, while side-entry hand-warming pockets offer a comfortable place for cold hands.
There are also two chest pockets beneath protective welts. Reflective print adds a further practical detail for low-light mornings and evenings.

Care Instructions
Gentle wash at 30°C, inside out with similar colours, using a mild detergent. Close all zips before washing.
Do not bleach, use fabric softener, tumble dry or dry clean. Iron on a low setting if needed, following the garment label. The fabric never needs waxing.
