Practical waterproof protection for dog training and outdoor life
Waterproof Dog Handler Gilet
The Uhip Men's Regular Pro Dog Trainer Vest is a waterproof dog-handler gilet designed to keep training essentials close to hand while leaving your arms free to move.
With durable fabric, taped seams, a longer back and ten practical pockets, it is made for dog training, handling sessions and everyday walks. Wear it over suitable layers for the weather, whether you're practising heelwork, carrying reward toys or spending time outdoors with your dog.
Waterproof rating: 8,000 mm
Fabric breathability: 5,000 g/m²/24 h
Seams: taped
Colour: Jet Black
Built for wet and windy training days
The Regular Pro vest uses durable polyester taslon fabric with a TPU membrane. Its 8,000 mm water-pressure rating and taped seams provide rain protection across the covered areas, while the sleeveless design gives your arms freedom for handling and training.
A two-way front zip sits behind a storm flap with snap buttons. Chin protection adds comfort at the top, and the adjustable hem helps you adapt the fit.
A large back pocket for training equipment
The generous rear pocket gives you space for dummies, leads and reward toys, keeping bulky training equipment out of your hands until you need it.
Snap buttons allow you to adjust the pocket so it interferes less when your dog is working at your side. Two drainage holes allow water to escape, while reflective piping adds a useful visibility detail.
Quick-access pockets for treats and rewards
Two large hand pockets have bellows construction and flap closures with snap buttons. Two additional open side pockets give quick access when timing a reward matters.
The side pockets are shaped to help reduce treats falling out, making them particularly useful during active training sessions and everyday handling.
Secure storage close to your body
Two chest pockets offer additional storage for small essentials. Inside, there is a zipped chest pocket and two zipped hand pockets, giving you three secure internal pockets.
Together with the rear pocket and four front hand and side pockets, that gives you ten practical storage spaces for organising training kit and personal items.
High collar and fully adjustable hood
The high collar provides extra coverage around your neck. A detachable hood with a laminated brim adjusts at the front and back, allowing you to adapt its fit to the conditions.
The hood attaches with snap buttons and Velcro, so you can remove it when you prefer a simpler gilet shape.
Freedom of movement for active handlers
A modern men's fit and longer back give useful coverage while you're moving. The sleeveless construction works well for training tasks that involve reaching, throwing rewards or working closely with your dog.
Open the two-way zip from the bottom when you need additional room to move or sit. Choose the layers underneath to suit the temperature and your activity.
Durable fabric and recycled lining
The outer is 100% polyester, chosen for durability and tear strength. A Bionic Finish ECO fluorocarbon-free water-repellent treatment adds surface protection.
The lining is 100% recycled polyester. The listed outer and lining materials meet OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.
From structured training to everyday dog walks
At Horse & Sports, we value outdoor clothing that has a clear practical purpose. This vest helps keep treats, toys and leads organised during structured training, but its storage is equally welcome on countryside walks and everyday outings.
Reflective print and piping add visibility details for low-light conditions. The durable construction makes it a useful layer for handlers who regularly spend time outside.
Jet Black
Jet Black gives the vest a versatile, understated finish. It pairs easily with outdoor trousers, boots and your existing training layers.
True-to-size men's fit
Uhip describes the vest as true to size. Check your measurements against the Uhip men's size guide and allow for the layers you plan to wear underneath.
